Occurrence Remarks:
The late Ed Knudson said of these specimens "I don’t doubt the ID, and that it is new for TX." As far as I know, nothing has been published yet officially reporting the species for the state. This species is only known in the literature from farther west (Arizona-California), but is probably overlooked in west TX due to its external similarity to H. alpinensis. This male/female pair was dissected to confirm the ID.
