36.3846805556  -102.902625 +-100m.
Occurrence Remarks: This road-killed beetle was found on a roadside in the Rita Blanca Nat'l Grassland. I'm assuming it is a Carabid of some kind and perhaps related to the Calosoma "caterpillar hunters", but I can't find a good match on BG. Note that the middle of the elytra (forewings) have a purplish stripe down their length. Are there any Coleopterists out there who can narrow this any better?
Establishment Means: wild
