Black Witch Ascalapha odorata Kenedy Co., Texas 18 June 2002 Anytime I would look around a pile of firewood on the front porch of a cabin I was in, I could find several Black Witches. It is rather startling when three or 4 of these things, each with 6 inch wingspans, take off in your face. 3 shots posted
